Polder Sofa
Compact
Price € 6.670,00
Evocative and fun, Polder is a sofa that lends itself to different interpretations, from the most playful to the most formal. In the language of the Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, “polder” means low plains, typically covered with fields and agricultural spaces. This sofa seems to recall just that, giving life to a suggestion of “plots” of different colors and heights. The large cushions of the Polder Sofa and Polder Compact form an extremely comfortable asymmetrical seating surface, surrounded on both sides by the padded shell. The Sofa variant offers plenty of space to stretch out and relax, while the Compact, smaller, enhances the aesthetic and linear aspect to the fullest.

Swiss by birth, Vitra is a unique company in many ways. Unique in its home collections, light and colorful; unique in its office furnishings, which combine in a masterful implementation design and ergonomics; unique for the designer parterre that enriches its catalog. Among prestigious historical re-enactments and fruitful collaborations, Vitra has always had the ability to relive the past and project to the future. However, Vitra is unique above all for Rolf Fehlbaum's corporate address, where the company transcends the business to fulfill wider social and cultural functions: the creation of a unique project such as Vitra Campus and the annexed Vitra Design Museum is an example.Read more

Hella Jongerius
Hella Jongerius (1963-) is a Dutch artist and designer, very famous internationally for her experimental work with color and design techniques. Her Jongeriuslab is a laboratory in the true sense of the word, a rich creative chaos in which the designer dedicates herself to experimenting with the use of different materials, in an interrupted exploration of the possible interactions between the visual and tactile aspects of the product, often solved in surprising ways. Her career began in the lively undergrowth of Dutch design of the 90s, revealed to the world through the productions of the Droog Design collective, which publishes most of her early works. Her work has its natural outlet in the creation of unique pieces or in limited series, similar to real artistic creations. The brand to which she most closely linked her career was Vitra, who had the courage to focus on her creative chromatic hazards, assigning her the position of art director for colors and materials for many years. She brought her vision of her peculiar to her in various design fields, such as ceramics with Mutina, the outdoors with Kettal and the carpet with Danskina.Read more
