Historic seat that since 1967, the year of its creation, has been able to capture the interest of an international clientele. The 430 chair by Verpan was born from the genius of Verner Panton who presents for the first time a 4-legged seat with organic shapes and particularly elegant upholstery. The basic idea was to create a chair whose comfort could match that of an armchair. The challenge seems to have been successful thanks to the wide and enveloping backrest, seat with enveloping padding and generous shapes. Due to its physiognomy, the 430 chair lends itself well to domestic use in living and dining spaces, but can easily be declined in different areas such as studios and more.

Verpan was founded in 2003 with the aim of re-editing and putting into production some of the most famous projects by the Danish designer Verner Panton, who was responsible for some of the most innovative architectural proposals of the sixties. The first collection entirely dedicated to lighting marked an international success, followed in 2010 by an even more marked resonance thanks to the addition of numerous furniture proposals. The Verpan selection includes some of Verner Panton's most distinctive proposals adapted to an exquisitely modern taste and production techniques in step with the times.Read more

Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926-1998) has long been considered the enfant terrible of Danish design. His creations, visionary and colorful, have made the most of the characteristics of new materials such as plastic and polyurethane and have led the world of Scandinavian design into the future. Panton contributed more than any other designer to the constitution of Space Age design between the 1960s and 1970s. His creations, with bright colors and visionary shapes, are so iconic that they are still very current today. After starting his career as Arne Jacobsen's assistant, Panton toured Europe in his Volkswagen Transporter van and then settled in Basel. There began a long and fruitful collaboration with Vitra which resulted in several undisputed masterpieces such as the immortal Panton Chair, the first plastic chair in history made in a single piece. He also worked extensively with Louis Poulsen, the most important Danish brand in the lighting sector, and his creations also appear in the catalogs of brands such as & Tradition and Georg Jensen. His avant-garde installations were also famous, such as the surprising Visiona 2 created for Bayer at the Cologne Motor Show, or his as many futuristic interior projects, such as the headquarters of the newspaper Der Spiegel in Hamburg. After his death, the Verpan brand was founded in Denmark, dedicated to the reissues of some of his most famous creations.Read more
