The Babel table lamp by Santa & Cole can be considered a true luminous sculpture that focuses entirely on the charm of a rare and precious material such as alabaster. The shape conceived by designer Àngel Jové recalls some ancestral stylistic features of a small tower. The base is made of solid alabaster, while the diffuser is hollow and contains the light, which filtering through the stone walls gives life to an intimate and suffused atmosphere, imbued with magic. A surprising and very difficult material to work with, alabaster makes each Babel lamp a unique piece, with different veins and plays of light.
