The Kauri collection combines history and design into one of great effect, so peculiar that it is always inimitable. From a wood that has remained underground for millennia, the Kauri top always conforms to a unique piece, to which the processing will give further value and aesthetic relevance. The customer is asked to choose the favorite slab, since each one embodies inside a different and impossible to replicate story. The artisan power of Riva1920 consists in knowing how to give these elements a second and more prestigious life, enriching the tables with a solid support base that supports and at the same time “directs” the wood in its slow and constant development. Technical features: top in “Millennial Kauri”, a wood that has remained underground for thousands of years; the tops are also available with resin inserts. Millennial Reflections version: sculptural base made with steel sheets by the artist Helidon Xhixha

The company was founded in 1920 in the heart of the "Brianza del Mobile" in a small shop specialized in the production of solid wood furnitures. During the next fifty years, the classic style of Riva1920 craftsmanship combined with the extreme enhancement of living wood has become hallmarks of the brand, internationally known today as the top range representative in woodworking. In 1990, Riva1920 marries the culture of reforestation by starting the production of solid cherry wood furniture which will be followed by other reused woods such as the millenary Kauri from New Zealand, the Briccole from the Venice Lagoon and the Cedar from Lebanon.
