La Torche Wall Light
A lamp whose shape seems to combine tradition and innovation, old and new in a single admirable stylistic sign. La Torche, as its name suggests, is a wall lamp that recalls an ancient torch used to light up houses when electricity did not yet exist. From the stump of wood and fabric of the past, La Torche takes up the tapered body and the rounded head which have here become a real diffuser. Both components convey a strong sense of proportion and elegance, a communion of perspectives that make this lamp beautiful and pleasant in any context, from the most to the less formal. Rispal demonstrates once again that knows how to recreate objects drawing not only on common sense, but also on things that anyone else would take for granted.

The story of Rispal began in 1924, the year of its foundation by an entrepreneur who established its headquarters near the capital until 1982, when the business ceased. Following the closure, the old company structures were razed to the ground to make room for a real real estate renovation in which every document regarding Rispal production and design was destroyed or lost. Before that date, Rispal had distinguished itself in the creation of avant-garde luminous furnishings, capable of taking up the most classic tradition of design and transforming it into something new and unexpected. The "Formes Nouvelle" collection is inspired by the Scandinavian tradition as well as by the taste of the artist Jean Arp.Read more
