Killer Umbrella Stand
Metal
Price € 1.100,00
A tribute to cinema and environmental enthusiasts but above all to those who love furnishing their homes with solutions that are out of the ordinary, unique and unusual. The Killer model stand is a polyethylene umbrella stand whose shape resembles that of a shark. It is available in different colors and can be freely placed within the spaces of the house. The creation of this interesting furnishing object is due to Studio Job and represents the story of Mr Holder, a shark who wanted to swim but, unable to do so, was made fun of by his companions. The idea, fun and decidedly contemporary, is perfect for modern homes and tastes different from the canonical.

Studio Job
Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Dutch artist and designer Job Smeets (1969-), one of the most important contemporary voices in the field of art design. With an excessive and noisy taste, distinctly pop, the work of Studio Job is characterized by a radical anti-minimalism: everything in his works is deliberately excessive, from the bright colors to the references to real objects that in his works undergo a typically surrealist shift in meaning, enriched by an amused attention to ironic detail. A versatile artist and great lover of provocation, Job Smeets is known in his homeland as a pioneer of conceptual art and skilfully uses various techniques, from 3D prints to bronze casting. In 2013, he was chosen to design the national stamp bearing the effigy of King Alexander of the Netherlands, produced in forty million pieces, thus becoming his work of art with the highest circulation. In the late 2010s he established close relationships with the world of Milanese design, launching the BLOW line entirely dedicated to his creations in 2017. Another brand with which he found a strong creative synthesis is Qeeboo, for which he created some of his most iconic pieces such as the shark-shaped Killer umbrella stand. In the field of product design he has also worked with brands such as Gufram, Slamp, Ghidini 1961, Bisazza and many others, while his artistic creations have been presented in over four hundred exhibitions in some of the most important museums in the world including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.Read more
