Looking at Esedra, you can see the great inspiration from the circular shapes in woven straw typical of the Lappish craftsmanship that inspired it. A disc pouf with an inviting seat, capable of evoking nature and simplicity in a single, extremely suggestive suggestion. Large slightly overlapping segments create a refined decorative effect, ideal for heterogeneous furnishings with great personality. The internal structure of the pouf is in birch plywood and solid beech. The lacquered wooden base is then softened by the expanded polyurethane and wadding padding. Among the numerous coatings, the use of Pelle Frau® leather stands out, a fitting example of the craftsmanship and stylistic quality of Poltrona Frau.

Poltrona Frau brings in any kind of environment, from home to office, its characteristic taste for leather-covered furnishings. The company grew out from the intuition of Renzo Frau who, moving in Torino, founded his workshop in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The Piedmont city was the ideal stage for the proposals of the young entrepreneur.
From the beginning, Poltrona Frau furnishings attract the attentions of the bourgeoisie and the Savoy Aristocracy, strongly fascinated by the international taste. The company’s collections embodied the timeless beauty of the Made in Italy design, despite a remarkable stylistic inflection in the Edoardian taste. In those years came to life iconic products such as the historic model 904, better known as Vanity Fair, the Chester armchair, which recalls the Chesterfield style, and the model 1919.Read more

Monica Förster
Monica Förster (1966-) is a well-known and internationally appreciated Swedish designer. Born in the far north of her country, near the Arctic Circle, she has an approach to design characterized by versatility and curiosity, elements that make each of her projects unique and original. You begin to get noticed on the design scene in the early 2000s thanks to your collaborations both with Swedish brands such as Offecctt and Swedese and with important Italian brands such as Poltrona Frau and Tacchini. You then assume the artistic direction of Zanat, a peculiar Bosnian brand that sets itself the goal of making the world know the flourishing local cabinet-making tradition, recognized and protected by UNESCO, and of combining it with the languages of modern design. Parallel to this adventure, however, you continue to work with major brands from all over the world such as, among others, De Padova, Zanotta, Artifort, Fogia, Tecno, Wittmann and Georg Jensen.
