Just like its name, the Assaya armchair hides many and profound meanings. It is comfortable, welcoming, simple and at the same time well balanced, a perfect combination for modern furnishings that are not afraid to dare using a design full of personality. The backrest and armrests structure is in Assaya as a single shell in polyurethane foam and wadding. The seat is in beech with elastic straps. The upholstery in saddle leather and Pelle Frau® gives a decisive character to the seat, ideal for any type of environment. The perimeter of the leather surface is enriched by precious hand-made visible stitching. With the Assaya pouf, the seat expresses its potential to the fullest, satisfying even the most difficult tastes.

Poltrona Frau brings in any kind of environment, from home to office, its characteristic taste for leather-covered furnishings. The company grew out from the intuition of Renzo Frau who, moving in Torino, founded his workshop in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The Piedmont city was the ideal stage for the proposals of the young entrepreneur.
From the beginning, Poltrona Frau furnishings attract the attentions of the bourgeoisie and the Savoy Aristocracy, strongly fascinated by the international taste. The company’s collections embodied the timeless beauty of the Made in Italy design, despite a remarkable stylistic inflection in the Edoardian taste. Satyendra Pakhalé
Satyendra Pakhalé (1967-) is an Indian designer. He completed his studies at the prestigious Indian School of Technology in Mumbai and then at the Art Center College of Design Europe in Switzerland. His studio is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where he also obtains his first collaboration with a large industrial reality: he was in fact a member of Philips' "New Business Creation Teams", which explored new industrial developments in the field of digital innovation and new transport systems. Designer of organic and welcoming shapes, markedly rounded, he has applied this style to the most diverse fields: from healthcare to means of transport to architectural installations. In the field of furniture design he has worked for brands such as Poltrona Frau, Fiam Italia, Magis, Cappellini and Offecct.Read more
