Orbis is a sofa that stands out for its exquisitely soft and curved shapes, where every detail is designed to create a harmonious overall vision, coordinated and peculiar. The Orbis collection, of which this upholstered piece is part, was created for the living space, seen as an intimate and convivial place, ideal for entertaining family and friends of all kinds. The sofas in this collection are characterized by an enveloping backrest, a more than interesting synthesis of modernity fused with technology that Poliform has been able to embody in many of its products. The seat is also raised from the ground and has a thin foot inspired by jewelry workmanship.

Poliform, founded in 1970, is today one of the Italian brands of excellence in design furniture.

Emmanuel Gallina
Emmanuel Gallina (1972-) is a French designer active in Milan and Paris. To summarize his approach to design, he likes to quote a famous phrase by Constantin Brancusi: "Simplicity, in art, is a resolved complexity". His stylistic signature is in fact made up of a simple elegance, devoid of aesthetic trappings, in which sobriety is sublimated into refinement. In this, the influence of a master of contemporary design, Antonio Citterio, is particularly evident, in whose studio Gallina worked for seven years after studying in France and Milan. He later founded his own design studio through which he collaborated with some important Italian and French brands such as Poliform and Porada for the home or Ethimo and Fast for the outdoor. He was also a professor at the Politecnico of Milan.Read more
