Poliform
Monolith Table
Rectangular
The Monolith table collection includes numerous products created by Poliform to meet the needs of a modern and changing home, where the needs of everyday life combine with a constantly evolving furnishing taste. In its numerous variations, Monolith reinterprets the archaic lines of the dolmens with warm and precious materials so as to create solid and robust legs on which the elm, marble or other tops are placed. The result is a stolid and strong figure, free of unnecessary embellishments but reassuring that is well suited to living rooms and dining rooms around the world. Monolith is available in both indoor and outdoor versions in the special Cementoskin or basalt stone finish which exaggerates the monumental and majestic aesthetics of the bases, however softened by a more rounded finish.

Designed by
Emmanuel Gallina
Emmanuel Gallina (1972-) is a French designer active in Milan and Paris. To summarize his approach to design, he likes to quote a famous phrase by Constantin Brancusi: "Simplicity, in art, is a resolved complexity". His stylistic signature is in fact made up of a simple elegance, devoid of aesthetic trappings, in which sobriety is sublimated into refinement. In this, the influence of a master of contemporary design, Antonio Citterio, is particularly evident, in whose studio Gallina worked for seven years after studying in France and Milan. He later founded his own design studio through which he collaborated with some important Italian and French brands such as Poliform and Porada for the home or Ethimo and Fast for the outdoor. He was also a professor at the Politecnico of Milan.Read more
