The Dear Ingo suspension lamp by Moooi is designed by the Israeli designer Ron Gilad, who conceived it as an extravagant tribute to one of the greatest masters in the field of lighting design, Ingo Maurer. A fil rouge of lucid and playful madness permeates the entire work of the great German designer, who loved to displace expectations by inserting familiar elements in an apparently incongruous context, creating a desecrating ready-made effect. A poetics that can also be clearly found in the Dear Ingo lamp, in which sixteen arms are arranged around the central rose that reflect the shape of the adjustable joints of the classic desk lamps, with a surprising alienating effect that also brings with it the possibility of projecting an intense light. directed in every direction.

Young and fresh, Moooi is the most sparkling pearl in the dutch design world. The heart of the brand is Marcel Wanders, its founder and artistic director, who has brought together promising talents from all the Netherlands (and others), leaving them free to give full vent to their imagination. Surreal and postmodern, the atmospheres designed by Moooi push themselves towards forms never seen or imagined, or play to recuperate traditional themes and styles, reversing the yield with an ironic touch.Read more
Designed by
Ron Gilad
Ron Gilad (1972-) is one of the most famous and appreciated contemporary Israeli designers. His creations are imbued with an almost metaphysical value, which transcends the simple shape of the object, reaching almost dreamlike shapes, yet always rich in innate elegance. An uncompromising artist's vision, in which, however, abstraction manages to combine with the daily functionality of his creations. Born in Tel Aviv, in 2001 he emigrated to New York and there he devoted himself above all to the creation of unique or limited series pieces, some of which are included in the permanent collections of the main museums of the city such as MoMA. His return to Europe, where he divides his time between Milan and Tel Aviv, was immediately crowned with great success: in 2013 he was elected "designer of the year" by two of the most important magazines in the sector, Elle Decor and Wallpaper. In the same period he began an important collaboration with Molteni & C., for which he designed several best-sellers over the years and also the spectacular "Glass Cube" pavilion attached to the company headquarters. His other important partnerships also include those with Flos, Danese Milano, Moooi, Cassina, Adele-C, Glas Italia, Salvatori and Magis.Read more
