Bastaaa Coat-Rack
Price € 365,00
A practical and unusual coat hanger that combines irony, creativity and a certain amount of experimentation in a single object. The shape of Bastaaa seems in all respects that of a hammer planted in the wall, consisting of a natural olive ash handle and a tip in cast brass with a polished finish. The idea of Bastaaa is to replicate the angry gesture of planting something in a wall - a nail, a hammer or indeed, a personal object and leaving it there, waiting to be recovered. In its various variations Bastaaa also has an attached mirror to which it can be attached to further improve the overall effect.

Designed by
Marcantonio
Marcantonio, stage name of Marcantonio Raimondo Malerba (1976-), is an artist and designer known for his disruptive creations inspired by the animal and plant world. The “bestiary” created by Marcantonio is endless and always interpreted through the veil of irony: from the monkey-lamps for Seletti (launched in 2013 and immediately became a great bestseller) to the iconic chandelier-holding giraffes for Qeeboo, his creations give life to a fantastic world in which fantasy takes power. Originally from Ravenna, Marcantonio follows an artistic training and approaches design only in 2010, when he exhibits a peculiar work made up of old wooden chairs from which small plants sprout at the Salone Satellite in Milan. Attention to nature and a predilection for the use of the color white, a symbol of abstraction and purity, characterize his entire work, which has also developed through fruitful collaborations with Seletti and Qeeboo but also for brands such as Karman, Mogg, Casamania, Natuzzi Italia, Opinion Ciatti, Scapin Collezioni and many others.Read more
