Magis
Spun Outdoor Seat
Price starting from € 610,00*
*Price valid for the version in polyethylene in colours cat. 01 (cod. SD660).
A seat that, like many other works by the Magis company, is able to push the imagination beyond the barriers of time and space. Spun was born from a unique concept and evolves by making the most of the three-dimensionality of shapes that seem to make no sense, but which have been specifically designed to welcome - and entertain - the human body. A swivel chair, in a nutshell, which nonetheless draws its movement from the simple conformation of itself taken to extreme levels. Magis has built this model for both indoors and outdoors, translating its conformation into heterogeneous and experimental environments.

Magis has always been a counter-current and ambitious company. From the name, a Latin adverb that means "more", Magis declares its will to go further: beyond the customs and commonplaces of the project, with a constant tension towards novelty; beyond technical barriers, through experimentation with new technologies; beyond the boundaries of the market, with a strong export vocation. That of Magis is a democratic and accessible design, which gets the best from a material with low prices like plastic. A vocation to inclusiveness that has led the brand to also develop the famous Me Too line, the only collection of furniture for children in which the products are not a simple reduction in scale of their traditional versions, they but are entirely designed from the outset “to child size".Read more

Thomas Heatherwick
Thomas Heatherwick (1970-) is one of the most famous contemporary British architects. His London-based Heatherwick Studio has over 200 collaborators and is active on major projects around the world. The buildings he designed, iconic and visionary, have the ambition to become real landmarks and not to go unnoticed. A graduate in design at the Royal College of Art, Heatherwick was mentored by the great designer Terence Conran who helped launch his career by calling him to create some installations for his furniture showroom The Conran Shop, the most prestigious in London. His career took off internationally starting from 2010, the year in which he designed the spectacular United Kingdom pavilion at the Shanghai Expo. In the same year he also created his only project in the field of furniture product design, the Voido swivel chair, produced by Magis and already become a classic (it will then be awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 2014). In the following years Heatherwick then deals with the many projects of the brazier for the London 2012 Olympic flame, the expansion of the Google campus in Mountain View and the iconic and controversial Vessel, a panoramic structure that has become the symbol of the new New York district of Hudson Yards.Read more
