Magis
Sam Son Outdoor Armchair
Price € 720,00
An idea that becomes reality. A feeling that translates into a high-end design object. Sam Son seems like the simple tradition of a gentle inspiration, arising from the dream of a child or a soul not yet ready to grow and which therefore retains its ability to amaze and fascinate intact. The structure is entirely made of rotational molded polyethylene and is configured for both external and internal environments, in an extremely suggestive whole. Beautiful and practical, it welcomes the body, transmitting a feeling of comfort that is difficult to emulate.

Magis has always been a counter-current and ambitious company. From the name, a Latin adverb that means "more", Magis declares its will to go further: beyond the customs and commonplaces of the project, with a constant tension towards novelty; beyond technical barriers, through experimentation with new technologies; beyond the boundaries of the market, with a strong export vocation. That of Magis is a democratic and accessible design, which gets the best from a material with low prices like plastic. A vocation to inclusiveness that has led the brand to also develop the famous Me Too line, the only collection of furniture for children in which the products are not a simple reduction in scale of their traditional versions, they but are entirely designed from the outset “to child size".Read more
Designed by
Konstantin Grcic
Kontsantin Grcic (1965-) is one of the leading names in contemporary German design. Born in Munich, he studied cabinet-making and design in London and there he had his first professional experiences in Jasper Morrison's studio, coming to design his first furniture for the SCP brand. From Morrison he developed a certain passion for minimalism, which he often accompanied however with daring and ingenious creative solutions and a keen interest in complex and challenging projects from an industrial point of view. On his return to Munich he founded his own studio and inaugurated a fruitful collaboration with the ClassiCon brand, which is based in the same city and which launched him in the firmament of the great names of international design. The consecration, however, arrives between the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s and it is sealed by two icons that have already become true classics and entered the permanent collections of all the most important design museums: the Mayday lamp, designed for Flos, and the Chair One chair, designed for Magis. In addition to the victory of two Compassi d'Oro (2001 and 2011) and the nomination of Designer of the Year for Design Miami (2010) and for the Salone del Mobile in Milan (2016), Grcic can also boast collaborations with important brands such as Agape, Vitra, Cassina, Plank, Mutina, Driade, BD Barcelona Design and many others.Read more
