Kabuki Floor Lamp
Price € 1.113,00
Seductive and unexpected, the Kabuki lamp has that touch of sensuality capable of attracting the eye, forcing it to stop for a long time on the design that outlines it. Kabuki is covered with a lace from head to the base, capable of highlighting the elaborate and sophisticated shapes that play with transparencies and lights so as to give each point of view a unique, unrepeatable touch. Despite the massive lines, the silhouette of Kabuki is ethereal, light and extremely delicate, ideal to be placed in any environment at the expense of its function. Kartell makes it available in numerous materials and colors, to better reflect the individual's taste.

Color and imagination, but also an excellent technical mastery of the materials: with these weapons, Kartell has managed to make the most of a traditionally economical material such as plastic, creating products with a high design content perfect even for the most luxurious homes. Founded in 1949 by the chemical engineer Giulio Castelli, Kartell started its production with small high-level design objects, developing over time on increasingly consistent sizes and shapes, thus arriving to offer colorful and functional furnishing accessories with affordable prices to everyone.
Recognized the high potential of plastic materials and thanks to the fruitful collaboration with the architect Gino Colombini, in the following years Castelli was able to undertake a long series of experiments that led to the conquest of the first Compasso d'Oro in 1955. In those same years the lighting division was inaugurated with the first collection signed by the Castiglioni brothers.Read more
Designed by
Ferruccio Laviani
Ferruccio Laviani (1960-) is a famous and appreciated contemporary Italian designer. Born in Cremona and graduated from the Milan Polytechnic, he began his career in the field of Radical Design, from which he draws a taste for surprising and expressive forms and a pop taste for experimental provocation. After his studies he was able to work in Michele De Lucchi's studio and set up his first collaborations with the Memphis collective, before setting up his own business in the early 90s. One of the key experiences of his career is that of Kartell's artistic director, a role he has held for over thirty years in which he participated in the great international relaunch of the brand. For Kartell he has designed not only stands and fittings, but also various products, including in particular the collection of lamps and lighting. Other historical partnerships are those with Molteni & C., which gave him the opportunity to approach more precious and alegan projects, and with Emmemobili, which instead favors his experimental streak with visionary creations of high cabinet-making. He can count numerous other collaborations with great Italian design brands, from Foscarini and MisuraEmme, from Flos to De Padova. Also appreciated as an interior, he has also created the interiors of the Dolce & Gabbana headquarters in Milan among many projects.Read more
