The Kazimir shelves by Glas Italia, created by the internationally renowned designer Michael Anastassiades, are unique furnishing elements inspired by the abstract art of Kazimir Malevič. Composed of colored and transparent glass shelves, they stand out for the play of overlapping volumes that create simple geometries and plays of light. The Kazimir shelves blend functionality and artistic style into a single piece of great beauty. The colored glass surfaces give particular depth and dynamism to the whole, while the clean lines adapt to modern and minimalist interiors. With the quality of the materials used by Glas Italia, Kazimir represents an elegant synthesis of art and utility, ideal for those who appreciate both of these qualities.

Designed by
Michael Anastassiades
Michael Anastassiades (1967-), born and raised in Cyprus but a Londoner by adoption, is one of the most interesting names in contemporary design. Master of light, his lamps are all played on essential geometries - they are often composed solely of slender lines, curves and spheres - but interpreted in a surprising and refined way. Able to create a dreamy and metaphysical atmosphere, he has launched a real trend in contemporary design, a poetic minimalism that does not renounce expressiveness. After studying at the Royal College of Art and opening his studio in 1994, the turning point in his career came in 2007 with the foundation of a brand that bears his name, Michael Anastassiades, in which he was able to express for his uncompromising poetry for the first time. The great success achieved led him to become one of the leading names in a brand like Flos, one of the most prestigious in the international design scene. He also had the opportunity to try his hand at the world of furniture for brands such as B&B Italia, Cassina, Roda, Salvatori and Gebrüder Thonet Vienna.Read more
