Gallotti&Radice
Shield Screen
Shield is a refined screen designed by Pietro Russo for Gallotti & Radice. With a vaguely Art Deco taste, Shield bases its charm on the use of rich and unusual materials. It is divided into four compartments, each supported by a precious support structure in satin brass that rests on large semicircular bases. Each compartment is equipped differently: while the lateral ones culminate in a peg, which can be used to hang clothes, one of the two central ones is entirely occupied by a large vertical mirror. The other central section instead supports a smaller circular mirror at face height and a round jewelry shelf.* Technical features: made up of 04 wooden modules, interior in white frisé Tanganyika with satin brass structure

Gallotti&Radice was one the first Italian companies introducing the use of crystal in the creation of design furniture. The mastery in the processing of this complex and multifaceted material has characterized over the years the entire Gallotti&Radice production, in balance between sophisticated industrial technologies and craftsmanship, able to grant the maximum customization. The production of the brand is divided into two main directions: the home division, which offers a complete home styling, from sofas to tables, from chairs to lamps, and the office division, which explores the different potential of crystal for work environments.Read more
Designed by
Pietro Russo
Pietro Russo (1967-) is one of the Italian designers of the moment. Born in Ostuni, he approaches design as a self-taught: his training takes place in fact in the field of scenography, a sector in which he worked for many years between Florence and Berlin for both theater and cinema. Experiences that have left a large mark on his inspiration: his creations exploit precious materials such as stones and brass with a magical and indecipherable decorative taste, which makes them both luxurious and elegant and fascinatingly alienating. The frequent use of optical games based on striking black and white geometric patterns is another of his classic trademarks. Pietro Russo has found exceptional interlocutors in two of the most attentive Italian brands to fashions and the latest trends in international design: Baxter and Gallotti&Radice. He has also worked with Casamilano, Ichendorf and Editions Milano.Read more
