Round
Manto is a round table capable of enhancing the intrinsic elegance of wood and its grain in the best possible way. As with all the products designed by Pietro Russo for Gallotti & Radice, Manto shows a particular sensitivity for geometries and broken lines, shown here right into the material thanks to the particular frisé effect of the wood that composes the top, available in walnut inlaid with Herringbone with black bevel or in other Frisé woods such as maple or Tanganyika. The table can also be equipped with a revolving Lazy Susan top. The large central base is in curved wood and has a small opening on the bottom and the charming detail of a brass button that holds the two parts together. An unmistakable design that has also obtained important international awards: it was in fact awarded in 2020 with an Archiproducts Design Award.

Pietro Russo (1967-) is one of the Italian designers of the moment. Born in Ostuni, he approaches design as a self-taught: his training takes place in fact in the field of scenography, a sector in which he worked for many years between Florence and Berlin for both theater and cinema. Experiences that have left a large mark on his inspiration: his creations exploit precious materials such as stones and brass with a magical and indecipherable decorative taste, which makes them both luxurious and elegant and fascinatingly alienating. The frequent use of optical games based on striking black and white geometric patterns is another of his classic trademarks. Pietro Russo has found exceptional interlocutors in two of the most attentive Italian brands to fashions and the latest trends in international design: Baxter and Gallotti&Radice. He has also worked with Casamilano, Ichendorf and Editions Milano.Read more
