Fritz Hansen
Milestone of danish design, the brand Fritz Hansen gathers in its catalogue some of the biggest classics of the Scandinavian modernim with modern and cutting-edge furniture, signed by some of the most important contemporary designers. In the style of Fritz Hansen furniture, characteristically nordic, the functional approach is tempered by pure and light lines, which make up immediately recognisable silhouettes that have now become part of the collective immagination. Products such as the Egg Chair armchair and Serie 7’s chairs by Arne Jacobsen are now pillars of the history of design.Read more

Bruno Mathsson
Bruno Mathsson (1907-1988) is one of the most famous Swedish designers in history. He trained as a cabinetmaker in the family business, Karl Mathsson, in which he worked all his life and through which he produced his major masterpieces such as the Eva armchair and the Pernilla chaise longue, both from the 1930s, characterized by an attention to the revolutionary ergonomics for the time obtained through a curved wooden structure with soft lines that follow the curves of the human body. After the war, following a long trip to the USA, he also began to devote himself to architecture and created a series of airy buildings full of stained glass windows, among which the magnificent Villa Prenker stands out. The Superllipse table was a great success of his more mature period, designed together with the inventor Piet Hein on the basis of complex calculations and put into production by Fritz Hansen. Almost all of his creations are now produced by Bruno Mathsson International, direct heir of his original company so as to be based in the same environments. Following a special agreement signed in 1978, some Bruno Mathsson products are also part of the catalog of the Swedish brand Duxiana, specialized in mattresses. Read more
