Firmamento Milano
Firmamento Milano was born as a real entrepreneurial challenge, an adventure undertaken by its founder, Carlo Guglielmi who, in his seventies, chose to put himself at the top of a production chain operating in the high-end market. Cino Zucchi
Cino Zucchi (1955-) is one of the most esteemed contemporary Italian architects. A major figure in the cultural debate surrounding Italian architecture, he has been a professor at various universities and has written numerous articles in some of the most important magazines in the sector, including Domus and Abitare. A long-time professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the Milan Polytechnic, Cino Zucchi has helped train several generations of young architects. Through his studio CZA – Cino Zucchi Architetti he has contributed to several important urban regeneration projects such as that of the former Junghans factory in Venice, from which five residential buildings have been created. Building “D” (1999-2002) of this complex, in particular, has earned him international attention and a mention at the European Prize for Contemporary Architecture. With an eclectic and varied style, Cino Zucchi has been able to create very different projects such as the National Automobile Museum in Turin (2005-2011) and the Lavazza headquarters (2010-2018), also built in the Piedmont capital. His rare experiences as a designer can be counted on the fingers of one hand, including the creation of a lamp for the Firmamento Milano brand, born with the intention of reconnecting the broken thread between large architecture studios and lighting design. The Milanese showroom of the De Castelli brand also bears his signature.Read more
