Tatlin, designed in 1988 and since then among the symbols of Edra production, is a center-room sofa with important sculptural shapes. It is designed by the architects Mario Cananzi and Roberto Semprini, who already declare from the name of the product the debt of inspiration with a great master of Russian Constructivism, Vladimir Tatlin. In fact, the shapes of the sofa take up the daring spiral-shaped verticality of his project for the Monument to the Third International, a tower conceived shortly after the October Revolution as the scenographic headquarters of the Comintern. Tatlin's monument was designed in industrial materials such as iron, glass and steel, almost a sort of Soviet Eiffel Tower, while Cananzi and Semprini translate it into the color and comfort of a precious textile covering.
