Among the many works of E15, Houdini stands out as a memorable starting point of the family of iconic chairs designed by Stefan Diez. Houdini's aesthetic and stylistic language speaks a wholly European but at the same time international language with a Nordic taste, which is especially popular now in the more functional and contemporary world of the modern home. The design allows for a sturdy and versatile chair with a curved back and generously proportioned seat, perfect for any type of use. Available in a wide range of palettes and colours, Houdini can lend itself well to both living and night areas.

Designed by
Stefan Diez
Stefan Diez (1971-) is a highly regarded German designer. His creations are characterized by simple and logical shapes, free of redundant frills and useless flights of fancy, as well as by a great proximity to the themes and styles of craftsmanship. Diez in fact received initial training as a cabinetmaker in his youth, a profession that has been in his family for four generations, before specializing in design during the 1990s by studying at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and working with Richard Sapper in Milan and with Konstantin Grcic in Munich. And it was precisely in Munich that in 2003 he founded his studio Diez Office, which found its headquarters a few years later in a former carpentry shop chosen as the headquarters to preserve a strong connection with the memory of craftsmanship. Initially his creations concentrated in the field of table accessories produced by big brands such as Rosenthal and Authentics, later expanding to the world of furniture. Among the numerous brands with which he has collaborated, we highlight the German brands e15, Thonet, Schönbuch, Midgard and Dante, the Danish Hay, the Italian Emu and Magis and the Spanish Vibia and Viccarbe.
