Driade
Venus Bookshelf
Price € 10.300,00
A piece of furniture that is not afraid to dare, challenging the very concept of art and design in a new work with a strongly characterized flavour. Fabio Novembre designed the Venus bookcase inspired by Canova and his famous Venus who, surprised in her intimacy, tried to hide herself with a veil. In the same way, the designer combines this inspiration with a much more basic concept, that of the wooden crates used to transport statues. The result is a one-of-a-kind bookcase, beautiful and surprising in its aesthetics, which attracts the eye and challenges the viewer to glimpse its dual reality.

Designed by
Fabio Novembre
Fabio Novembre (1966-) managed, thanks to his volcanic and provocative creativity, to build a reputation that goes beyond the narrow confines of the Italian design scene and to become a well-known and recognizable character to the general public. Its pop design, iconic and provocative, is the son of a volcanic and never subdued ingenuity that loves to indulge in continuous experimentation. Born in Lecce and graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1992, Novembre launched his career by becoming art director of Bisazza in 2000. Close collaborations will then follow with some of the most creative Italian brands and beyond, starting with Driade and Cappellini to arrive in Casamania, Gufram, Vondom, Venini, Lea Ceramiche and Natuzzi Italia. He is also an appreciated interior designer with projects to his credit such as the headquarters of the football club AC Milan, the Divina nightclub in Milan and the stores of the footwear brand Stuart Weitzman in Rome, New York, Paris and other major cities around the world.Read more
