A piece of furniture with a unique and strongly inspired taste. Element is a table with an iconic style, an emblem of purity and poetry, a perfect synthesis of the design code of the visionary designer Tokujin Yoshioka. A distinctive detail is the central support, poised between two horizontal elements whose arrangement seems to defy the laws of gravity and the same sculptural proportions of the table. The different versions of Element play with the combinations of these supports, giving life to unexpected and highly suggestive figures. Among the many models available, Desalto offers the rectangular, square and circular one, with different types of support and colors to better fit into the contexts of placement.

Designed by
Tokujin Yoshioka
Tokujin Yoshioka (1967-) is one of the most famous contemporary Japanese designers. The measured poetry of the installations and objects he draws comes to life from a perfect fusion between the teachings of traditional Japanese style and the use of innovative techniques and materials. His creations emanate a magical and dreamy atmosphere thanks to a great mastery of the effects of light and transparency. Yoshioka was able to count on great masters: after graduating from the Kawasaki Design Institute in Tokyo he was able to work first for Shiro Kuramata and then for the designer Issei Miyake, for whom he was responsible for setting up the showrooms. Opened his own studio in Tokyo since 2000, he has designed projects of great importance such as the Water Block benches for the Orsay Museum in Paris or the Olympic Torch for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He has also worked with many important Italian furniture brands such as Kartell, Moroso, Driade, Desalto, Lema, Glas Italia and Mutina.Read more
