The Ishi coffee table by De Padova is designed by Nendo, a Japanese star-designer famous for the sense of natural serenity that inspires his creations. The base of the coffee table is made up of eleven pieces of Lebanese cedar wood with gently rounded corners, six of which are stabilized with a steel weight to support the extra-clear tempered glass top. Like river pebbles rounded by the current, the elements of the base of the Ishi coffee table are variants of the same shape translated into ever-changing proportions and are also striking for their intense color enhanced by the wood grain.

Milan has for years been considered the capital of international design, capable of catalyzing new ideas from all over Italy and from all over the world thanks to the most different inspirations. For generations, however, there has been a real Milanese design with a strong connotation, and De Padova is its undisputed symbol and spearhead. The environments proposed by De Padova are fresh and airy, dominated by light colors and large proportions. An unmistakable form of discreet luxury, in line with the character of the city, which finds its basis in the rigor of the design quality and in the use of fine materials. De Padova furniture and sofas bear the mark of a history of over seventy years and the personality of its brilliant founder, Maddalena De Padova, defined as the "lady of design".Read more
Designed by
Nendo
Nendo is the name of the architecture and design studio founded and led by the Japanese Oki Sato (1977-), which has gained great fame over the years as a real “cult designer”. Emblem of contemporary Japanese design, of which it represents the most prominent name, Nendo is guided by a rigorous and poetic minimalism, but at the same time unexpectedly elegant. The Japanese term "Nendo" indicates clay, and the choice of this name reveals the design flexibility of the studio, which is active in many different sectors such as graphics, product design, interior design and the creation of conceptual installations. The studio has two offices: one in Tokyo and the other in Milan, the world capital of the design sector. He has collaborated with several major international design companies, always in the sign of his peculiar rarefied and stylistically flawless poetics: Cappellini, Minotti, De Padova, Glas Italia, Alias, Flos, Desalto, Moroso, Driade and many others.Read more
