Price starting from € 8.436,00*

Designed by Mario Bellini, the Cab Night Bed stands out for its structure and legs covered in saddle leather, a warm and precious material which, in turn, is enriched with some stitchings visible in the joints among the different parts. The headboard has a slightly padded and tapered design defined by a central stitching and it can be covered in saddle leather or refined leather treated with special tanning able to make it softer and more comfortable. The Cassina experience is here shown by the quality in the manufacturing of hefty and thick materials which are processed only by means of techniques combining ancient craftsmanship and new technological discoveries. The marriage between handmade production and CNC machines makes the Cab Night Bed a contemporary masterpiece, hardly imitable.

Founded in 1927 by the brothers Cesare and Umberto in the heart of Brianza furniture, Cassina is one of the long-lived Made in Italy industrial design companies. From the early ‘30s, Cassina brothers identified the strong demand for home furnishings and interpreted in a far-sighted way the renewed taste of the new emerging classes. From this intuition, Cassina started a real revolution in the indoor furnishings design. Since then, the company has been pursuing a path of research and innovation, involving prestigious designers and architects in the study of new furnishings models. In the last few years the collaboration with Gio Ponti has begun. Thanks to this partnership were born the 646 chair, known as Leggera, and the subsequent model 699 or Superleggera.Read more
Designed by
Mario Bellini
Mario Bellini (1935-) has always remained strongly linked to his training as an architect, managing to bring his characteristic principles into all the very different areas in which he had the opportunity to design. After starting his career as design director at the Rinascente, in 1963 he was called to Olivetti where he became the protagonist of an extraordinary season of technological innovations. In addition to numerous computers and electronic equipment, he also has the opportunity to design the first personal computer in history, the Olivetti P101. Since 1978 he has also had the opportunity to work in the automotive sector, becoming a consultant for Renault. In the field of furniture, too, he holds leading roles, signing some of the most relevant products of the 1970s and subsequent decades for Cassina and B&B Italia. He was director of Domus magazine, president of ADI and eight times winner of the Compasso d'Oro. He has also worked with companies such as Yamaha, Heller, Nemo and Rosenthal. Since the 1980s he has mainly devoted himself to architecture, with projects such as the Natuzzi headquarters in North Carolina, the interiors of the Deutsche Bank headquarters in Frankfurt, the Tokyo Design Center and the Milan Congress Center in the Portello district.Read more
