Knotted Chair
Price € 4.331,00
The Knotted Chair represents one of the creations of one of the most famous designers on the international scene today, the Dutch Marcel Wanders. Designed in 1996, originally proposed as part of the experimental collective Droog Design, the Knotted Chair represents an oversized interpretation of the small macramé seats that can still be seen today in dollhouses. A true technical prodigy, this armchair reinterprets the style of macrame in completely different shapes and materials, integrating industrial and artisanal processes: a carbon fiber heart is covered in aramid fiber, molded with traditional techniques to obtain its peculiar interwoven shape, and then made rigid thanks to an epoxy resin treatment. The end result is not just an armchair but a real piece of art, a great masterpiece of 90s design.
