The Drum armchair by Cappellini is one of the most famous and celebrated creations of the eclectic Polish designer Mac Stopa. Its shapes are a tribute to the history of rock n 'roll, and more particularly they are inspired by the unmistakable hexagonal electronic drums characteristic of the 80s. Drum is a very slender vertical armchair, with a high and elongated backrest that culminates in two large ears with the function of headrest. Trial base or feet, it has a compact and sculptural shape that is enhanced in the version covered in a peculiar three-dimensional optical fabric. The Drum collection also includes two poufs of different sizes that can be combined with the armchair with the function of a footrest. Technical features: the L.93.3 cm armchair version is available with a fixed or swivel base; the 106.5 cm version is only available with a fixed base

Mac Stopa
Polish Mac Stopa (full name: Przemysławem Stopa) is one of the most famous interior designers in Eastern Europe. Since 1996 he has been the founder and head of the Warsaw-based studio Massive Design, which specializes in designing the headquarters and offices of local branches of large multinationals. His clients include real giants such as Google, AstraZeneca, Mondelez, Siemens, Unilver and many others, for whom he has designed welcoming and colorful corporate spaces, far removed from the grayness of traditional offices and always enriched with a fresh and playful touch. A great lover of mathematics, Mac Stopa loves to base his projects on complex geometries and modular shapes that are inspired by fractal theory, capable of giving an almost science fiction look to the environments he designs. The same principles are also found in the products he designs, with organic and futuristic shapes studied with extensive use of 3D graphics. Among his most famous creations are the Drum armchair for Cappellini and the numerous seats designed for the Tonon brand. Mac Stopa has also worked with brands such as Fiam Italia, Noël & Marquet and many others.Read more
