Orbital is a table with generous shapes, mainly characterized by a strong and evocative base, where anyone can read the geometric and formal references at will. However, the overlying top is no less relevant, modeled so that it is particularly thin and rounded, perfect for convivial situations in dining rooms, living rooms and much more. Pininfarina
Pininfarina is the world's leading company of Italian car design, a legendary name for car enthusiasts from all over the world. Founded in 1930 as a workshop for the artisan construction of luxury car bodies, it was founded by Battista "Pinin" Farina (1893-1966) with the support of Vincenzo Lancia, whose car manufacturer was his main customer for many years. It was in the postwar period that the company achieved great international success, with cars such as the Cisitalia 202, the first car to be housed in the collection of the MoMA in New York. Since the 1960s it has been led by Battista's son, Paolo Pininfarina (1926-2012), capable of intelligently applying the "Italian way of design" to the world of the automobile, which in those years was achieving great success in all areas. , made of a strong attention to style and elegance capable of not overshadowing the more functional aspects. In those years Pininfarina was able to move from visionary concept car projects to collaborations with brands such as Ferrari, Bentley, Cadillac and Maserati, but also to the design of small cars for brands such as Fiat, Ford and Peugeot. Paolo Pininfarina was awarded in 1991 in Detroit as the best automotive designer in the world, before receiving the Compasso d'Oro for his career in 1994 and being appointed Senator for Life in 2005 for artistic and industrial merits. Even after his death, Pininfarina continues to be a top-tier signature (the last Compassi d 'Oro won by its products date back to 2008 and 2014), also allowing itself to occasionally collaborate with extraordinary brands in the field of furniture such as Poltrona Frau, Reflex and Calligaris.Read more
