Boffi
K21 Kitchen
The Boffi K21 kitchen represents a further step forward in the refined design research of designer Norbert Wangen. In this new incarnation of the K series, the aesthetics of the kitchen-monolith is maintained through compositional devices that allow for great design versatility. In K21 they exceed the height of the top and slightly cover it with a slight protrusion, which also takes on the function of a handle and allows for easy opening without handles. The thickness of the top is thus completely hidden from view, in a solution of extreme formal cleanliness. The worktop is thus found in a slightly recessed position, like a tub, and in the island compositions it is as if enclosed by a thin frame, in a minimalist and harmonious composition.

The Boffi kitchens evoke, more than any other brand, the concept of "design kitchen". A unique brand, which throughout its history has given a decisive impulse in the evolution of the kitchen environment up to the modern modular kitchens. Among the big names of Made in Italy kitchens, Boffi's is undoubtedly the one most closely linked to luxury kitchens, proving itself capable of creating real marvels of technique and aesthetics and thus creating unique environments enhanced by the use of exclusive materials. However the Boffi world does not end in the kitchen: the collections of bathrooms and wardrobes are equally famous, while for the living area its collections integrate harmoniously with those of De Padova, a brand belonging to the same group.Read more

Norbert Wangen
Norbert Wangen (1962-) is a German designer and inventor famous above all in the field of cooking. His monolithic kitchens with sliding tops from the K series, extremely elegant and ingenious creations, have greatly influenced new trends in the kitchen market. An architect by training, he designed his first successful product in 1995: the Attila armchair, exhibited all over the world and today part of the collection of the Vitra Design Museum. In the same years he began to conceive his first kitchens, initially conceived in the context of specific interior projects and then becoming a real brand presented in 2000 at the Cologne, Milan and Chicago fairs. In 2003 the Norbert Wangen brand was acquired by Boffi: the fruitful creative relationship with the Italian brand continued for several years, allowing Wangen to give life to new kitchens that explored in depth the fundamental intuitions of his K series, but also to try his hand at bathroom furniture sector.
