An architectural vision of the common dining table gave birth to Oskar, a piece of furniture where elegance and design refinement are intertwined in a highly suggestive piece of furniture. The homage to the architect Oscar Niemeyer is evident not only from his name, but from the very choice of creating a structure that is both fluid, sensual and material. The most obvious reference consists in the use of cathedral glass. The uncooled sheet is placed on top of a metal plate with an imperfect surface. Numerous other finishes of the same suggestion are available to expand the possibilities of choice according to taste. The legs in solid beech support the entire structure in the raised eye thanks to the particular processing of the grafts.* Technical features: glass top available in green cathedral finish

Designed by
Vincent Van Duysen
Vincent Van Duysen (1962-), Belgian architect and designer, is one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary design sector. His mark, measured and elegant, reveals a profound awareness of space and its articulations: each product he designs is not in fact conceived as a unicum in its own right, but as part of a harmonious whole. Minimalist without being icy, Van Duysen knows how to create highly suggestive environments, in which no element is too much. After working in Milan in his youth with the stylist Cinzia Ruggeri and with the designer Aldo Cibic, he founded his studio in Antwerp in 1990 and developed it to build a team of over 20 people. He has been the art director of Molteni & C. since 2016, a brand for which he takes care of the entire coordinated image, from products to fittings. Other brands he has collaborated with are Poliform, Flos, B&B Italia, Paola Lenti, Sahco and Serax.Read more
