Moon System Sofa
Moon System is a sofa with peculiar and unexpected shapes, capable of combining dynamism and solidity in a single, highly artistic expression. The curved and highly structured lines of this element for the living area pay homage to the studies on geometry carried out by architect Zaha Hadid which can also be seen in many of his architectural projects. Moon System is a tribute to futurist thinking, where seat and back come together in a sinuous and at the same time welcoming whole, further refined by the combination of a practical footrest. The fusion of seat back and armrest makes Moon System not only recognizable, but highly iconic in any space of the house.

B&B Italia's strongest ability is to combine creative ideas with design skills, which over the years have led the company to win four Golden Compasses. B&B Italia’s fulcrum is the Research and Development Centre (CR&S), a research laboratory dedicated to the study of the most innovative materials and the industrialization of production processes. The purpose of CR&S is to give life to the most groundbreaking projects of some of the major international designers.
Founded in the late 60's by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli and Cesare Cassina with the name of C&B Italia, the company has disrupted the furnishing industry's rules with a revolutionary industry vision. The ability to turn traditional furnishings production into industrial designs proves today, like yesterday, the strength of the company.Read more
Designed by
Zaha Hadid
Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) was one of the most shining archistars of the 20th and 21st centuries. She was born in Baghdad, she studied mathematics in Beirut and then moved to London to complete her studies at the prestigious Architectural Association School of Architecture. She then joined the OMA Studio of her former professor Rem Koolhaas for a few years, before returning to London in the 1980s to open her own studio and devote herself to teaching. It is in that period that she perfects the style that will make her famous, developed in a first phase above all through drawings and sketches: her works, belonging to the de-constructivist current like those of the master Koolhaas, live on fragmented geometries and sharp edges, crossed by incessant tension and a strong sense of movement that give them a great spectacular inspiration. One of the very first works he has the opportunity to create is the fire station on the Vitra campus, which will be followed by projects on an increasingly larger scale such as the MAXXI museum in Rome, the Guangzhou Opera House and the London Aquatics Center, designed on the occasion of the 2012 Olympics. Numerous awards at the highest levels: in 2004 she was the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Prize, the "Nobel Prize of Architecture", and was included in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine. You have also worked as a designer on special projects in the field of product design, created with brands such as Sawaya & Moroni, B&B Italia, Slamp, Alessi, Cassina, Citco, Rosenthal and Lasvit.Read more
