The Husk armchair represents one of the many icons of B&B Italia, a piece of furniture commonly recognized for its unconventional beauty capable of inspiring the design of its time. Patricia Urquiola designs it with an eye to the ergonomics she remedies by creating a rigid Hirek ® shell that contains soft cushions divided into padded portions. Its aesthetic originality is further accentuated by the choice of fixed or swivel bases that can be customized in different colors and shades. Even the fabric upholstery is customizable, so as to maximize the distinctive character that makes Husk unique in its kind. Also available in the outdoor version, Husk products include armchairs, tables, beds and sofas.

B&B Italia’s fulcrum is the Research and Development Centre (CR&S), a research laboratory dedicated to the study of the most innovative materials and the industrialization of production processes. The purpose of CR&S is to give life to the most groundbreaking projects of some of the major international designers.
Founded in the late 60's by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli and Cesare Cassina with the name of C&B Italia, the company has disrupted the furnishing industry's rules with a revolutionary industry vision. Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola (1961-), Spanish by birth but now Milanese by adoption, is one of the most important names in the panorama of contemporary design. She was able to count on an impressive parterre of great masters: graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with Achille Castiglioni as a teacher, she then collaborated for a few years with Vico Magistretti on the set-up of the De Padova showroom, before becoming Head of Design for the studio in 1996. Piero Lissoni. Since the early 2000s she begins to make herself known for her colorful and exuberant style, which will find maximum expression in the collaboration with the Moroso company. Other brands that have strongly focused on her have been B&B Italia, with which she will also shape the aesthetics of her new outdoor collection, B&B Italia Outdoor, and Cassina, for which she is artistic director. Very appreciated and author of highly successful products, she has collaborations with other big brands such as Kettal, Flos, Molteni & C., Kartell, Foscarini, cc-tapis, Paola Lenti, Mutina, Glas Italia and many others.Read more
