An armchair that is beautiful to look at and use, delicate in its shapes and strongly inspiring for all those who love design without neglecting comfort. Knitting Chair is an armchair designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen in 1951, an object that since then has been able to keep itself almost unchanged while retaining its charm. Knitting Chair combines a solid wood structure with a seat covered in real sheepskin, relaxed and accommodating. Its name derives from the open spaces on the back at the elbows that make it perfect for knitting or for reading or double-checking the phone. In any case, it combines a solid wood structure with a seat upholstered in genuine leather.

Born from the union of two famous international design brands, Audo Copenhagen seems to have inherited from both the inexhaustible craftsmanship as well as the compositional ability that made them famous all over the world. From Menu and By Lassen this brand draws strength and solidity, proposing itself as a valid interlude of a typically Nordic taste, embodied in Danish and contemporary furniture. The variety of products offered fits effectively into all spaces of the house, offering a valid choice to all those who want simple yet detailed furnishings, with a restrained taste and no excesses.Read more
Designed by
Ib Kofod-Larsen
Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) was a Danish designer, best known for his mid-century Scandinavian style pieces. Slightly forgotten for many years, he enjoyed the greatest success between the 1950s and 1960s, when his furnishings were designed above all for foreign markets and in particular for the American one. Kofod-Larsen, averse to conceptual excesses, saw himself as a craftsman: he didn't limit himself to designing the furnishings, but followed every phase of their development up to prototyping and production. His furnishings in precious woods such as teak or rosewood stood out for the purity of the forms and the sophistication of the details, so much so that they are still very current today. His best-known creation at the time was the Elizabeth Chair, which took on this name after some specimens had been purchased by Queen Elizabeth II of England herself, while today his Knitting armchair is back in popularity. They are all produced by Menu, which inherited the production rights by purchasing Brdr in 2021. Petersen that Kofod-Larsen originally made them for.Read more
