Designed by
Mimmo Paladino
Mimmo Paladino (1948-) is an Italian artist, a key figure in the Transavantgarde movement. Born near Benevento, in his first years of activity he experimented with different techniques and styles, from sculpture to photography, while maintaining a clear preference for drawing and painting. In his enigmatic works, suggestions from Christian culture, classical mythology and Egyptian and primitive arts are intertwined, which blend in the creation of timeless ancestral suggestions. In his works, we can find human silhouettes and figures of horses, his real animal-totem, not surprisingly the protagonist of one of his most famous and monumental works, the famous "Sand Horse". A special collaboration with Artemide has given life to amazing lamp-sculptures impregnated with his enigmatic poetics.
