Boalum Table Lamp
Price € 1.215,00
The Boalum table lamp was born in 1970 by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini. By Domus it is defined as "a snake of infinite light", capable of enriching the environment with its rich and suggestive shades. Immediately becoming part of the greatest icons of its time, Boalum still remains an element of extreme beauty to be inserted in any room of the house, from the most to the least formal. Boalum can be connected in series up to a maximum number of pieces to create more organic and suggestive compositions. Its structure is in translucent flexible PVC, reinforced with resin terminals to make it practically indestructible. When it is switched on, it emits a diffused and particularly pleasant light.

Artemide is one of the most prestigious names of the Italian design: the company has in fact left an indelible impact on the lighting sector. Artemide lamps are often courageous and experimental, but also incredibly practical. The philosophy of Artemide follows the principle of the "Human Light", according to which every lighting project must focus on the human being and his needs. Another peculiarity of the brand is the incessant tendency to innovation, so much that over 60 people are employed in its own Research & Development center.Read more
Designed by
Gianfranco Frattini
Gianfranco Frattini (1926-2004), architect and designer, was part of the "golden generation" that between the 1950s and 1960s led Italian design to establish itself as a protagonist on the world stage. Paduan by birth, he studied at the Milan Polytechnic and he worked all his life in the city of Milan, first as a collaborator in Gio Ponti's studio and then on his own, dedicating himself above all to interior architecture and product design. Very active in the associative and dissemination fields, he was a founding member of ADI and he was a member of the Triennale Council for many years. Among his many collaborations, those with Cassina, Artemide, Arteluce, Bernini and Acerbis are worthy of note. A great lover of wood, he also forged a solid partnership with the celebrated cabinetmaker from Brianza Pierluigi Ghianda. In recent years, the revival of the Mid-Century style has led to a renewed interest in his figure with highly successful reissues of some of the most famous products offered by brands such as Tacchini and Poltrona Frau.Read more
