Dino Gavina founded Simon in 1968, after the sale to Knoll of his previous activity, the Gavina spa. His companion in this adventure was Maria Simoncini, who inspired the name of the compan. Simon furnishings are characterized by their significant historical value, evidence of an attitude to experimentation that makes them even today very topical. These are tables, chairs, consoles, tables and accessories of outstanding artistic value, which have now become true icons.
The Simon collection includes timeless furniture such as the Doge table by Carlo Scarpa, the real flagship designer of the brand, the Delfi table by Marcel Breuer, historical Bauhaus master relaunched by Gavina’s attention to the past, or Bramante furniture of Kazuhide Takahama. After alternating events and many company steps, Simon found the ideal location in 2013, becoming part of a company like Cassina, similar to philosophy and ambition.
