The Neri & Hu studio, founded in 2004 by Lyndon Neri (1965-) and Rossana Hu (1968-), is today one of the spearheads of emerging Chinese design. The two, a couple in work and life, were both born in Southeast Asia (Neri in the Philippines, while Hu in Taiwan) and both studied in the United States at top universities such as Berkley, Harvard and Princeton. Lyndon Neri managed Asian projects for several years for the studio of the great American architect Michael Graves, in whose studio Rossana Hu also worked for a long time. The two decide to settle in Shanghai in 2002, conquered by the climate of fervent growth that reigns in the city, and soon become protagonists of its urban renewal with numerous refined architecture and interior design projects, standing out in the city panorama for creativity and for an international view. They quickly became very well known globally, they can boast awards such as the title of Designer of the Year for Wallpaper magazine (2014) and the introduction in the U.S. Interior Desig Hall of Fame (2013). They designed furniture for Stellar Works, the first high-end Chinese brand to achieve a strong international appeal, and for prestigious brands from all over the world such as Poltrona Frau, Molteni & C., Cassina, Artemide, Driade, ClassiCon, Gandia Blasco, Moooi and many others.
