Enzo Berti

Enzo Berti (1950-) is an Italian designer who trained as an artist at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. A student of the sculptor Alberto Viani, since the 1980s he has devoted himself mainly to product design, maintaining a strong imprinting from the world of sculpture, evident in his predilection for pure forms and essential but decisive signs. He also loves working with natural materials such as wood or stone, also taken from his previous experience in the world of art. All characteristics clearly visible in his most fruitful collaboration, the one with the Vicenza-based brand Kreoo, for which Enzo Berti also held the role of artistic director, specializing in furnishings and marble coverings with a strong scenographic impact. Another successful partnership is the one with the Torremato line of the lighting brand Il Fanale, which earned Enzo Berti the victory of a Compasso d'Oro in 2014 for the Bitta outdoor lamp. Among the many other brands he has worked with are those with Saba Italia, Lando, Lapalma, Bross, L’Abbate and many others.
