Davide Oldani
Davide Oldani (1967-) is a famous Italian chef, owner of the award-winning restaurant D’O in Cornaredo in the province of Milan. A favorite student of Gualtiero Marchesi, considered the great “father” of Milanese chefs, Oldani opened his restaurant D’O in 2003 in his native Cornaredo, soon awarded a star by the coveted Michelin Guide. The second star will arrive in 2020, when Oldani is now an established celebrity, considered one of the most famous chefs in Italy thanks also to the numerous books published and the victory of the Ambrogino d’Oro (2008), an honor awarded to the personalities who have brought the most prestige to the city of Milan. Oldani was the initiator of the concept of “Cucina POP”, which aimed to give the dignity of haute cuisine to the poor ingredients typical of popular cuisine. The daily observation of the guests of his restaurant and their ways of interacting with food convinced him to test himself also as a designer, creating objects and accessories clearly connected to the world of cooking that see the light for brands such as Cassina, Kartell, Artemide and KnIndustrie.
