Archetype of the modern armchair, Vanity Fair is the reproduction of the famous “904” model signed by Poltrona Frau in the 1930s and today considered a true design icon, a timeless model sedimented in the collective imagination as a synonym for elegance, style and craftsmanship.

The birth of Vanity Fair marked the arrival point of Renzo Frau’s stylistic innovations, and the subsequent production in 1984 with the new name in honor of the American fashion magazine, still marks the ability of Poltrona Frau to renews itself and maintain living the quality of the brand over the years.

Vanity Fair is characterized by its curved and compact design as well as the leather upholstered nails that refine the seatbeck and armrests. Nails are the only concession to the soft and sinuous ornament whose aim is to counter the sharp rigor of modernism in the 1930s. The secret of success of this armchair has a dual origin: shape and quality. The former expresses rigid numerical proportions that regulate the relationships between its parts, according to the ideal of a classic beauty. The second, in the use of noble materials, valued at best by a skillful craftsmanship that takes up to 21 hours for each piece.
