UniFor was founded in 1969 as an avant-garde of Molteni & C. under the guidance of Piero Molteni, second-born of the progenitor Angelo Molteni. The product that gained in the early years the success of the company was the modular system of Form 3 desks, designed by Bob Noorda and Franco Mirenzi, which launched the group on the international markets and enabled the company to acquire important orders worldwide, including the one for the IBM headquarters in New York State.
Over the years, the company’s reputation has grown more and more and the UniFor catalog is expanding with new successful products, such as the Naòs System work tables and desks by Pierluigi Cerri, winner of a Compasso d’Oro, or the highly appreciated Jean Nouvel’s Less Less desks. For the chairs of its offices, UniFor can count on an important collaboration with Vitra, the world-leading brand in the sector, which has been collaborating with the Molteni Group for years.
