Kasthall was founded in 1889 by Ludvig Andersson and was the first company in Sweden to devote itself to the industrial production of carpets. Throughout its history, the headquarters has always remained in Kinna, where all stages of production are directly supervised and the designers work side by side with the artisans in a quest for the highest quality. The style of the carpets is strongly rooted in the Swedish tradition, but the company has an open and international look, with a direct presence in over thirty nations.
All Kasthall rugs use top quality materials, such as wool from Europe or New Zealand, fire retardant and anti-allergic, chosen with a strong resistance in order to create rugs that can last years without showing signs of wear. Another material very present in the Kasthall catalog is linen, cultivated in Normandy according to environmentally friendly methods and extracted without the use of chemicals, which gives shape to shiny and elegant carpets, such as the long-haired rugs of the Fogg collection.
