The history of the International Office Concept began in 1992, when the Meroni family decided to apply the extensive know-how accumulated with the experience of Lema to the production of office furniture. The idea proved to be a winning one, as architects and designers immediately took advantage of the opportunities offered by the great possibilities of personalizing the company in terms of sizes, colors and finishes, unusual for the sector.
The first big bestseller IOC was the Freeway writing system, designed by the Castiglia Associati Studio and characterized by the numerous compositional possibilities offered by its bridge base. In addition, the great success of the Ultralight partition walls was due to the considerable customization allowed to the client, which made possible to obtain many different spaces in large open spaces.
