ClassiCon was founded in 1990 by Stephan Fischer von Poturzyn, ex- professor of the Vereinigte Werkstätten. Among his most successful reissues are those of furniture designed by Eileen Gray, obtained under license from the London company Aram Design, such as the Adjustable Table, the Bibendum armchair or the Day Bed dormouse. Among the ClassiCon lamps signed by the historic Irish designer, the Roattino model deserves a mention.
In the lighting sector, the Selene suspension lamps by Sandra Lindner and the Orbis table lamp by Herbert H. Schultes were also very successful. The London studio Barber Osgerby and the Chinese duo Neri & Hu are other big names in the world of design that have collaborated with the brand, alongside emerging designers such as the French Victoria Wilmotte and the Brazilian Guilherme Torres.
