Compasso d’Oro 2024 | All the Awards and Winners
The 2024 edition of the famous Compasso d’Oro has brought with it numerous nominations and just as many awards created to give prestige to the talent of those who in their sector have been able to make a significant contribution to design made in Italy. This edition counts 70 years of honorable service, a certificate of longevity that is well in tune with the concept that led to its institution: innovation and design culture, as well as excellence.
Among the many awards, it is an honor for us to mention those closest to our sector of belonging, namely interior design and project design.

Among the Honorable Mentions, thirty-nine this year, we would like to point out the To-Tie table lamp by Guglielmo Poletti for Flos, the Principles office furniture by OMA for UniFor and the Cordoba armchair by B&B Italia.
No less important, but indeed extremely valuable, are the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera awarded to numerous personalities in the world of design and beyond. This recognition is aimed not only at highlighting the artistic and cultural contribution of their work, but also at sanctioning the prestigious personal path undertaken in the various fields of design, planning, architecture and much more.
Among the various names we list:
- Piero Lissoni, architect, designer and art director of numerous design brands such as Alpi, B&B Italia, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro and Sanlorenzo.
- Paolo Rizzatto, designer and founder with Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Severi of the lighting company Luceplan.
- Roberto Gavazzi, president, CEO and majority shareholder of the Boffi|DePadova group.
- Tadao Ando, architect and 1995 Pritzker Prize winner.
- Umberto Cassina, former president of Alias, president of MDF Italia since 2007.
- Maurizio Riva, president of Riva Industria Mobili (with the Riva 1920 brand).
Finally, some special recognitions for three long-selling products by Gio Ponti, creator of the Compasso d’Oro:
