The exclusive Milanese showroom ran by Salvioni Milano honors its own heritage presenting the event "The Cinema Through Forms and Space". The evening has been hosted by the Architect Giovanni Ottonello, also Art Director at the European Institute of Design, that introduced the intervention of Paola Bizzarri one of the most talented Italian set designers, already Nastro d'Argento and David di Donatello for the movie Habemus Papam Direct by Nanni Moretti.
In partnership with OffiCine, a project sponsored by IED and Anteo Spaziocinema, goes on stage, in the former President Cinema, a transversal event entirely dedicated to Design.
Giovanni Ottonello guided the guests through a journey that explored the close connection between cinematography and design. From Michelangelo Antonioni to Stanley Kubrick, mentioning the genious of Peter Greenaway and American Psycho, masterpiece of the Canadian director Mary Harron. This relationship becomes a symbiosis in the particular case of American Spy movies, due to James Bond's passion for Modernist design and Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chair.
The places we inhabit talk about us, they tell our stories" began Paola Bizzarri, who likes to give voice to the objects, turning them into co-protagonists of the events that involve the actors of the filming projects she participates to. Protagonists of the evening were Cinematography and the Baxter products, which combination offered the guests a unique experience of “Cinema within the Cinema."
